Guidelines for Guest Bloggers & Sponsors

For Guest Bloggers:
Thank you for your interest in writing for Boston Green Blog! I love to post content from all types of sources to maintain a well-rounded point of view. However, there are a few guidelines that each submission must meet before they are posted on BGB. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to e-mail and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

      1. All content must somehow relate to sustainability and/or Boston lifestyle.

      2. Posts on BGB are usually short - try to keep guest posts under 500 words.

      3. Content should be original, and not posted anywhere else on or offline.

      4. At least one image should be included, along with credit/source information.

      5. Please do not use curse words, inappropriate or abusive language.

6. Guest posts may contain a total of two link backs to your blogs/websites. (Not including sources, to which there can be as many links as needed). The post must not be not contain sponsored materials (i.e. someone is paying you to post have links posted on Boston Green Blog. If, this is the case, please read below for information on submitting a Sponsored Post).

     7. All submissions must be sent to and include the words “guest post” in the subject line.

For Sponsored Posts:

1. Please adhere to the guest posting rules 1-4 listed above.

2. There is a small fee associated with posting a Sponsored article on BGB, please e-mail me for details. To adhere to FTC guidelines, I will put a tagline on each sponsored post to let readers know I was paid to feature the article/product.

3. Sidebar advertisements and sponsorships are available upon request. Feel free to e-mail me for details.

4. All submissions must be sent to and include the words “sponsored post”  in the subject line.

I will review and edit all posts before they go live. I may change your article to better fit BGB’s voice and style. If you would like to see the post after my edits, but before it goes live, please let me know.

Thank you so much, and I look forward to reading your submission to Boston Green Blog!
